About the event
On March 26, 2022, Phil Collins and the Band Genesis played their final live show! It was the end of an era for one of progressive rock's most iconic bands. Genesis began in 1967, but Phil Collins officially took over the singing duties in 1976. Genesis performed for over 45 years, while collecting numerous Top 40 hits. In 1981, Phil Collins released his first solo album entitled "Face Value", and this began a string of more Top 40 hits.
Phil Collins and Genesis combined:
- 35 songs in the Top 40
- 31 songs in the Top 10
- 8 songs that were #1 Hits
Over the last four decades, Phil Collins has recorded 8 studio albums, 1 live album and 2 movie soundtrack albums. And Genesis has recorded 15 studio albums and 6 live albums.
